Cycloidal actuator
A motor drives an eccentric input. Paired cycloidal discs engage fixed ring pins and transfer reduced-speed motion through output pins.

What each part does.
Power path: Motor → eccentric → paired discs → output pins → flange.
- Drive & feedback
- Servo electronics and sensing regulate the input and output motion.
- Input motor
- The motor shaft drives the eccentric bearing arrangement.
- Twin cycloidal discs
- Two phase-offset discs engage a fixed ring of pins; oversized disc holes accommodate eccentric motion around output pins.
- Output bearings
- The bearing structure supports the output and maintains alignment under load.
- Output pin carrier
- Output pins extract slow disc rotation and transmit torque to the flange.
- Ring-pin housing
- A rigid fixed housing supports the ring-pin track and reacts torque.
