Frameless motor
An unhoused stator and rotor set for integration into the customer’s mechanical structure. Bearings, shaft, encoder and drive are system-level interfaces.
3D model and components
External servo drive → stator field → permanent-magnet rotor
Shown as a stator–rotor kit. System-level bearings, shaft, encoder and drive are supplied by the host integration.
What each part does.
Power path: External servo drive → stator field → permanent-magnet rotor.
- Wound stator
- The laminated stator and winding are installed in the host structure with a defined thermal interface.
- Magnet rotor
- The permanent-magnet rotor mounts to the customer shaft or hub. The host assembly sets the air gap.
Machines that call for it.
Humanoid & legged robotics
Walking, balancing and manipulation bring many controlled axes together. Mass and heat at each joint influence the capability of the whole robot.
See the application 02Machine tools
Machine-tool rotary axes need a stiff load path and stable positioning. Direct-drive architectures remove a gear stage while preserving the need for bearings, feedback and thermal control.
See the application 03Aerospace & defence
Aerial platforms combine propulsion, payload pointing and deployable mechanisms. Larger flight-control loads may call for electric linear or electro-hydrostatic actuation.
