Electro-hydrostatic
A servo motor drives a reversible pump. A local hydraulic circuit moves the cylinder, with a reservoir, protective valves and position sensing.

What each part does.
Power path: Servo motor → reversible pump → hydraulic circuit → piston / rod.
- Motor drive & sensing
- Motor control, cylinder position and pressure sensing coordinate the electro-hydrostatic axis.
- Servo motor
- The motor controls pump direction and speed.
- Pump & local manifold
- A reversible pump supplies the cylinder chambers through a compact manifold with protective valves.
- Reservoir & protection
- A local reservoir accommodates fluid-volume changes; valves provide charge and pressure protection.
- Cylinder & piston rod
- Pressure differential across the piston creates linear output force.
- Cylinder barrel & ports
- A pressure-containing cylinder and fluid connections complete the closed local hydraulic system.
Machines that call for it.
Aerospace & defence
Aerial platforms combine propulsion, payload pointing and deployable mechanisms. Larger flight-control loads may call for electric linear or electro-hydrostatic actuation.

Parallel motion platforms combine coordinated linear axes to position a payload in multiple degrees of freedom. Geometry, joint articulation and calibration determine the usable workspace.
